Visiting
Several people have been asking about visiting Quent. He will be on 15th floor of Charing Cross and, whilst I will be checking his bag for rope and eyebolts, I remain concerned about an abseil attempt. The building is just like Madison Heights only slightly … higher. The hospital is investigating extra security for Thursday night.
We have therefore decided to restrict hospital visiting to family only. Given the size of Quent’s family, that’s still quite a logistical challenge.
Once he is home and ensconsed in his MP3 collection / recovery mode, I will let you know more. Do please keep posting comments and messages as I will take them in for him, when I go to check the windows.
"Webbs"; Please let me know when / if you are planning to visit. Another "big birthday" would be fun, but I am not sure Charing Cross would be happy to host it.

Hi Q - Seeing as you are heading to Charing Cross, maybe you could pack a punch down tool and have a quick look at room 104 of block B, apparently they are seeing slow train up times! Very best wishes buddy, Eggs & the Inuk gang
Dear Quent, Helen and Oakley,
I must admit that I was shocked to hear the news, but have been heartened by all the positive news coming through on the blog, and we are all reading about the latest developments and wishing you a speedy recovery.
You will be over in our neck of the woods at Charing Cross Hospital so we will be sending as many good vibes as possible up Fulham Palace Road tomorrow.
All best wishes.
James
Howdy...

Hi Quent, Helen and Oakley
Heard the news from Stuart and was shocked to say the least. If anyone can beat it then it is you Quent. Me, Sue, Stuart and Scott are all thinking of you and looking forward to the reports on Thursday.
All the best
Andy Menzies
Dear Quent,
I was shocked to hear but, after reading the blogs I am relieved to read about the recent news.

With your man you must frisk him every 30 minutes he will enjoy this. But in this time he will have located 4 be-lines & lots of router programming cords all linked up couple with his red letter enclosed a £10 note from me as an emergency beer fund just in case that he dreams of it or is missing out . Don't complain - you got him doing the black magic bit when he better -your christmas special.....
Hope everything went well today - we know you can beat this! Lots of love, hugs and thoughts for all of you. Michele & Robert (Cardiff)
Hi Q,
Just sitting in my B & B in the Isle of Wight. Thinking of you tomorrow mate - everyone's expecting a quick recovery and God knows I'll need you back by then!!
If you really need a rope I have a couple of spares that are still OK for abseiling. Let me know and we'll try to smuggle them in with a 'relative'.
Hope your as comfortable as possible after having half your renal bits chopped out! (Probably by the time you get this)
All the best
Jez (and Meryl, Finlay and Ashlyn too).
Dear Quentin, Helen and Oakley,
We were told by Mum and Dad today - what a bummer. We are sending every best wish from the North West. Can't get the image of a geriatric Helen or a pre-pubescent Quent out of my head.
I know that red wine has lots of anti-oxidants - possibly more fun than apricot kernals.
Loads of love
Ed and Veronique
