Nothing's simple

Prof Hawkins confirmed this afternoon that we have the go ahead to start treatment tomorrow evening. Which is good because we are all packed and Oakley's childcare is sorted.

However, there is a complication. The ECG that Christie's did when we went up a few weeks ago is "slightly abnormal". The Prof said it's probably OK, but we should do a stress test tomorrow morning. If there's a problem, we won't be able to go ahead with the IL-2 treatment.

I don't know about Quent's heart, but mine doesn't feel too great right now.

It's the bleeping law to have ups and downs, isn't it...
It's frustrating that it couldn't just be all plain sailing after everything you've been through the past few months.
Remember that if the prof. says it's "probably OK" then you have to take his word for it and hope for the best, 'cause he is the specialist.

You guys are doing a brilliant job at staying positive and upbeat, this is a major part of the battle.

I really hope that everything goes ok for you tomorrow morning.
Fingers crossed, positive thoughts and candles on the cards for tonight for you.

Helen, Quent & Oakley,

All the best with the treatment and we are thinking of you. I wish I had read the blog earlier and we were the chosen one to have Oakley. Aaron and Adam would have been the happiest boys in UK....

I hope the treatment goes well after the stress test shows how cool calm and collected you are. 8-)

Thinking of you lots.. especially on the drive into work where the Christmas present is still going strong. :)
