He’s home! Looking and feeling good. He’s only allowed yogurt, jelly and ice cream - and a bag full of drugs. That’s what you get when they operate on your birthday - it’s very rock ‘n roll.
My next post will definitely be a tribute to the skill and dedication of the NHS. Totally amazing. But meanwhile, I have to don my own ‘orderly’ uniform to make my patient a cup of tea!

I am pretty "normal" and very lucky. I have a husband, Quentin (married 2002) and a son, Oakley (born 2004) both of whom I adore. We live in London. This was the first paragraph of a work-y blog I set up a while back. It still defines me although I would probably downgrade "very lucky" to "lucky with a spell of bad luck" at the moment. I am pretty new to blogging but want to find a way to update friends and family about Quent's illness. If you are not friends or family, I suggest you go and do something fun outside.
