Progress

In an attempt to raise the tone of the blog a notch or two, I shall just say that we moved a step further towards getting Quent home tonight. He emerged from the toilet wearing a smile, which can be described as broad even by his standards.

The plumbing is working and Sidney the Remaining Kidney is obviously coping on his own.

Or, for those who need it spelling out a bit more... shit, that's good news!

Helen, nobody has commented on your latest update - but I would like to say that it is tremendous news for Quentin. After having had a c-section myself, I know how a pee and a poo can be celebrated!...exciting and not exciting all at the same time -I think I needed a little help off the toilet myself...It's a big day so give my best to Quent and a hug from us!

I'm only guessing here, but is the other kidney also called Sidney? Jon

I seem to remember a band from the early 90s called "Sidney Kidney And The Vital Organs".

Good to hear the progress.

As the guard says in "Hamlet", "For this relief, much thanks". Congratulations, Quentin. Love Alicia and Tony

This might make Quent smile. About fifty years ago my Mum had a kidney removed - she is still going strong at age 89. The first meal that she was offered after the operation was... kidneys.

Happiness is . . . . Sidney the kidney working well.
Hi Helen thank you for the daily up-dates, I have only recently found them(thanks to Jane).
Much love to you, Quent and Oakley.

Come on Quent,
I managed a discharge with only a pee and holding onto the banister 4 support up and down a flight of stairs to prove I was "FIT 4 HOME" discharge.. Hope your nearly home-bound, will catch up with you soon, and well put Helens' culinary skills to good use, ( a strole to the take-away). Just kidding H,
Good Thoughts,

hullo webb family, and the newly famous sidney. i've an idea that i think will help, lets call the remaining kidney something stong and powerful, like hulk hogan, or jeff capes. you could keep sidney as a middle name, but i reckon we could give things a boost with an aspirational name. well i've always admired hulk hogan.

fantastic to hear the good progress, although i expected nothing less from mr positive

all our love
