More immunotherapy

Later this month, Quent starts another round of immunotherapy. Not for his cancer (thank goodness!), but for his wasp allergy. Given the severity of his reaction and the strong probability of his being stung again (old house, organic garden), he is being offered a course of immunotherapy to 'desensitise' him.

We're not sure what that means, but we think they will inject him with a bit of venom (and a bit more and a bit more) - while standing by with the epipen, ready to jab him if he reacts. Or maybe they'll just lock him in a room full of wasps and see what happens.

It's all happening at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. I'll be going too - because I'm a loving wife who always supports Quentin with such matters and not because the hospital is a stone's throw from the Kings Road.

Then again, maybe I need desensitising from shopping. A bit more and a bit more...

So - did it work? No update makes me wonder that you're still shopping and Quent is still dealing with the wasps. Maybe they need desentising from him now!
Hope it was a success without drama. Jenny H x
