Scan results
Let me cut to the chase. Quent's scan was CLEAR yesterday.
This is the first time in over 2.5 years that he's had a clear scan result. We saw the Prof after the scan and then he texted when were nearly home to say the radiologist's report was through already. The next scan will be in 3 months' time so no more hospitals until July.
For the medical amongst you, here's the detail:
Findings: Comparison is made with 12/1/09. The scarring in the right lower lobe of the site of resection of the pulmonary nodule has a lobular appearance, but this is not considered represent recurrence. The pattern of scarring limitation the left lung is unchanged. There is no evidence of recurrence in the abdomen and pelvis. The right kidney and right adrenal gland are unremarkable. No lymphadenopathy is present. No new pulmonary or skeletal metastases. Conclusion: Rounded scarring and atelectasis at the site of resection of the right lower lobe nodule. Complete remission.
Complete remission. Those have to be two of the best words in the English language.
We will be going out to celebrate on Friday night, after completing on the Chiswick house.
