A good day!

We have had a good day from start to finish today.

It was the first night that Quent wasn't up and about. (Can't quite say he slept through, but at least he was comfortable enough to stay in bed).

He has also come off the antibiotics. They had to be taken 4 times daily on an empty stomach so it was quite a feat to get them into him around meals and sleeps. We are very happy to be able to be rid of them and to replace them with healthy snacks.

Quent celebrated feeling on good form by walking with me to collect Oakley from nursery. Oakley was pleased to see Quent but unappreciative of the milestone... Quent hadn't quite expected to be challenged to a running race home again - and Oakley clearly hadn't expected him to decline the offer.

Dinner, DVD and then bed await.

Quent,

It would appear I have stumbled across your not so secret little adventure, put my rather large size 7's (in spiky heals of course) straight in the middle. So now it's my business and I'm here to stay to shout encouragement from Manchester.

I will be catching up on your blog so as not to disturb your quiet Okaley and Helen moments (maybe not quite to quiet, huh?) and am always at the end of the phone for chatter on any subject though my specialist subjects over winter will be white water canoeing and hopefully snow boarding! I blame you and Helen for encouraging me!!

Really gutted to hear you haven't been well and I hope you're on top form soon.

Lots of love to you, Helen and Oakley winging it's way up the internet from me and Jonathan. Take care all xxx

Hi there,

Well we have been out of touch with you and so many for a long time. I was just catching up this evening with the O'Donovans when Paul told me your news - so sorry to hear. I have just run through all your blogs to catch up - what a time you have had, but you sound to be coping very well and keeping so positive. I was so out of touch, I didn't even know that Oakley had arrived! - Joey informs me that he did, - good of him to share the news with me!!
Our thoughts will be with you all, and we will keep ourselves updated with your blogs.
Lots of Love
Sarah, Joey, Ben, Oliver & Harvey(Doyle!)

Hi Quent
Pleased to know that you are healing up. Found out recently 'ruben of 3.5 years has one and a half kidneys stuck together on one side. No kidney on the other side at all! It`s not slowed him down at all. Hope Oakley lets you get some rest sounds like a lovely chap.

Thinking of you
