Open Evening

Yesterday we were able to attend the Open Evening at Oakley's school. This is when you review the work done in class this year, go and look at the next class and meet the new teacher.

I can't say it was the most exciting evening of my life, but it was nice to be there because we're usually in Manchester that Monday, for Quent's July scan.

This year, Prof doesn't need to see us until September. Quent will therefore have to think up something good for my birthday on Friday because he's not giving me the best gift ever - a clear scan.

We still marvel regularly at the immense good fortune of being in the situation we are. Both alive and healthy - just a kidney, a couple of chunks of lung and a few floorboards adrift from the rest of you.

We hope that our luck continues through to September - and that if any of you are undergoing treatment, it is as successful as Quentin's has been.

Have a good "summer".
